Our clinic, our standard.

We designed this clinic with intention. Soft lighting, a calm environment, no rushing. How you feel when you walk through the door matters just as much as what we do once you are in the room. Recovery Sports Therapy is a sensory-friendly clinic in Worcester, MA, built for people who need a different kind of care.

We know traditional clinics can feel loud and overwhelming, and for a lot of people, that gets in the way of healing before treatment even starts. Here, you get expert sports therapy in a space built around your comfort, not just your recovery.

Dr. Nicole Dumas

Founder & Lead Therapist

Dr. Nicole (Niki) Dumas started her career as a physical therapist assistant before earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Springfield College in 2012. She went on to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and added her Dry Needling certification in 2018. After more than 15 years in the field of physical therapy, Dr. Niki decided to start her own practice so she could spend more time getting to know her clients. Dr. Niki completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012 from Springfield College after spending several years as a physical therapist assistant. She continued her education in various methods of manual therapy and earned a certification in Dry Needling in 2018. One of the things that has shaped her practice the most isn't a credential. Niki has EDS herself. When she started paying attention to what that meant for her own body, she went looking for answers. She found that physical therapy had very little to offer people with connective tissue disorders, so she started learning everything she could. Not for a course or a certification, but because she needed to understand it for herself. Along the way, she realized there were a lot of people dealing with the same thing and finding the same dead ends. That became the foundation of Recovery Sports Therapy — a place where patients do not have to explain what EDS is, justify their pain, or wonder if their PT actually gets it.
